Club de Mar Marina, Balearic Islands
Club de Mar marina is probably one of Mallorca's most famous marinas and so as you would expect offers all the facilities that you may require. Situated just a short walk from the city of Palma centre with all its shops and Hypermarkets the port itself though also has shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets.
Palma de Mallorca is the Capital of the Balearic Islands, and also the biggest city of all the island in both population and area. The city is home to around 400,000 people, and growing.
The city is divided in to a many areas, but the most important ones for those visiting the island for the first time are:
•The Old Town and the historical center
•Jaime III, the shopping area
•The Avenues and Plaza Spain
•La Lonja, next to the old town
•The Paseo Maritimo, Promenade
The city is a mixture of old and modern and is a shoppers paradise. If you just want to chill out try the arab baths.
The Approach
The port is easily reconisable on approach and holds few hazards except for the high amount of traffic. The port is the main ferry and commercial port for the island. Call ahead on VHF 16 or 9 for approach information.
The Entrance
The marina entrance is wide with plenty of depth. All the pontoons are lit but they can be lost in the backdrop of the city. The marina office is in the south west corner of the marina
