Marinas in Costa Blanca
The Costa Blanca reaches as far north as Valencia and down to just above Cartagena in the south. Famous for its miles of golden beaches the Costa Blanca has become an important Spanish tourist region. There is over 100 kilometres of coastline on which you can enjoy the beaches, sea and the climate. With the Costa Blanca having more Blue Flags than any other tourist destination in Europe since the creation of this award, providing proof of the excellent quality of its water and beaches. Many Marinas also adhere to strict enviromental laws and are awarded flags for this, cleanliness and facilities.
If you are interested in art or history, you'll find quite a lot of sightseeing as this area boasts a rich history and culture influenced by the Greeks, Romans, Phoenicians and Carthaginians. In fact Terra Mitica Theme park has 5 different themed areas covering past civilisations such as Egypt, Greece, Rome Iberia and the Islands.
Inland the area is a rich, fertile land steeped in history with influences from many different cultures that have overlapped to create what it is today and comprises of the provinces of Valencia, Alicante, and Castellón. The area is noted for its fine wines as well as producing olives, oranges dates and almonds. Fishing also plays an important role in the regions economy and many marina have to share with the local fishing fleet.
Communications with the rest of the country and internationally are good by road, rail and air.
